How do I use a Meeting Owl Pro within a Conference Room? Setting up the Owl Remove the Owl from the box Use the supplied USB cable to connect the Owl to an in-room computer or laptop via USB. Then use the power cable to connect the owl to an available power outlet. See this visual guide for reference: You will see the Owl’s eyes light up and pulse. Once you hear the Owl “hoot”, you will know when the initial startup is done. Place the Owl on the conference table. You will want to place the Owl in a specific place depending on how big the room is. For smaller rooms that fit up to 4 people, you will want to place the Owl at least 18 inches from the Conference Room TV. For larger rooms, place the Owl in the center of the table. You can adjust it to be between 3 and 6ft from the TV. Do not place it any further than 8ft away from the Television. Connecting to a Video Conferencing Platform Google Meet Open Google Meet and join a meeting. In the meeting window, click on the Menu button. It will be listed on the bottom near the End Call button. Select the Settings option on the Menu. Under the Video, Microphone and Speakers options, you will need to select the Owl as the device you'd like to use. Once ready, you can now start your meeting. Zoom Launch Zoom and connect to a Meeting. Select Join Audio Conference by Computer. Select the Up arrow to ^ on the bottom right next to your Microphone icon on the bottom left of the screen.
