Managing Network locations on a Macbook
Improper management of network locations can cause performance issues while working onsite. The wired ethernet network on the museum campus will provide you with the best network performance for data transfer, video conferencing and overall device performance.
To switch between Wi-Fi and Ethernet on your Macbook do the following:
- Once you're logged into the Macbook, click on the Apple on the top-left corner
- Move your mouse to Location, then select your intended location of Wi-Fi or Ethernet
- To switch change the location again go back to that Location menu.
Keep in mind -- Your computer must be connected to Ethernet or over a VPN connection at AIC to connect to WTS-workspace, CITI, access filesharing and print to any office copiers or printers while offsite.
