How do I find my IP Address?
Windows
On your desktop there is an application named FindMyIP. Double click on it and a small window will display with your computer's IP Address.
Alternatively, if it's been removed or is otherwise not there, you can manually locate it by following these steps:
- Click on Start.
- Type in cmd.
- Click on the result named Command Prompt.
- Within Command Prompt, type in ipconfig and press enter.
- The result listed next to IPv4 Address is your IP Address.
Mac
Within your Applications folder there is an application named FindMyIP. Click on it and a small window will display with your computer's IP Address and inventory number.
Alternatively, if it is not there, you can manually locate it by following these steps:
- On the top left corner of your screen click on the Apple icon.
- Click on System Preferences.
- On the third row, you'll see an icon called Network, click on it.
- Select Ethernet and to the right, you will see info displayed.
- If the status is Connected, you will see the IP Address listed.
